It will be the fastest five minutes in college athletics promotions. This week's trivia question who owns the most triple doubles in Shocker basketball history? Is it A Ron Baker, B Gene Wiley or C Warren Armstrong? Wichita State Bowling returns to competition this weekend at the Stephen F. Austin Lady Jack Invite. It is in Kenosha, Wisconsin. WSU, her first year as an NCAA program, is 10 and three and the Shockers have five wins over ranked teams. The Owls defeated WSU in five games in October. Sunday the Shockers finish up their road trip at Tulane. Wichita State women's basketball is 1 and 0. They face Belmont at 2pm Saturday at Coke Arena. Belmont is picked third in the Missouri Valley Conference and the Bruins won the Missouri Valley in 2023, their first season as a member. The Shocker men are also 1 and 0 after Monday's win at Western Kentucky. They are home 6pm Saturday to face Montana State. Montana State is the favorite in the Big Sky Conference media poll. Gene Wiley Warren Armstrong. They both recorded four Triv triple doubles during their time with the shockers in the 1960s. Wiley, a center, went for double figures in points, rebounds and block shots four times. Armstrong, a 6 foot 2, do it all force did his a more conventional way. Points, rebounds and assists. Gene Wiley played in the NBA for the Lakers for four seasons, two in the aba. Armstrong, who changed his name to Warren Jabali after his time in Wichita, starred in the ABA this week in shocker history on November 4, 2000. An important building block for the Shocker men's basketball program. Center Paul Miller from Blair Oaks Missouri High School in the Jefferson City area. He gives Wichita State coach Mark Turgeon his non binding commitment. Paul Miller would go on to earn 2006 MVC Player of the Year honors. Also honorable mention Associated Press to All American honors. After helping the Shockers to the sweet 16, you can give Shocker baseball an assist in landing Miller.
