As always, I want to make you stick around to the end for the answer. Shocker softball gets the week started with a 2pm game against Kansas City on Tuesday at Wilkins Stadium. GA. Tickets are 2 for 1. That leads us right into a big Jimmy Buffett and music weekend at the two stadiums. The Shockers play Charlotte this weekend at Wilkins stadium. Game time 6pm, 6pm and noon Friday. Jimmy Buffett Night $6 Margaritas and Lots of Jimmy Buffett music. Saturday, it's Taylor Swift night. Post game fireworks on Saturday. Weather permitting. Sunday you can get biscuits and gravy for $7 for that noon first pitch. Kids can run the bases after the game all throughout the weekend. Wichita State's senior class will be recognized.
[00:01:22] Shocker Baseball they are at Kansas State on Tuesday. The Shockers play USF at X Stadium starting Friday. Game times are 6pm, 2pm and noon. It's also Jimmy Buffett Night at X stadium on Friday. $6 margaritas and more Jimmy Buffett music. Saturday is autograph day for the baseball shockers and junior shocker kids. Club members get free admission. The first 250 fans receive shocker Baseball trading cards. Your trivia answer is B. Randy Smith. Smith was an outstanding distance runner for the shockers in the 1970s and he still holds the record in the 3000 meter steeplechase. He set that mark in 1975 with a time of 8 minutes 28 seconds. He finished second in the NCAA meet in that event in 1975 and earned all American honors both in track and cross country. During his Wichita State career, Randy Smith attended East High School. He won the state mile and the two mile as a senior with the Blue Aces this week in shocker history. April 22, 2008 Number 14, Wichita State scores six runs in the fourth inning to defeat Kansas 64 in front of 6,943 fans, the largest regular season crowd in WSU history. Clint McKeever and Andy Dirks drive in two runs apiece in the inning. Cole Nanny strikes out five and throws two and two thirds. Scoreless hitless innings.
