[00:00:14] Speaker A: Hello, welcome to the Roundhouse Rundown, your weekly glance at all things Shocker athletics. Each week you get a rapid fire listen on events, promotions, ticket deals, Trivia question and we finish up with Shocker history. This week's trivia question Wichita State men's basketball returned to the NCAA tournament in 2006 for the first time since 1988. Who led the Shockers in scoring in that 2006 win over Seton hall in the first round in Greensboro, N.C. a Paul Miller, B. Sean O' Geary or C Kameron Bradley? As always, we make you listen a little bit longer for the answer. A lot of basketball at Koch arena this week and the spring sports are fully underway at Wichita State. Shocker men's basketball they are coming off an overtime win at South Florida on Sunday. They play ECU 6:30pm Wednesday on ESPN. That's at Koch Arena. Memphis visits Koch Arena 3pm Saturday. That game is on ESPN too. The Memphis game is a yellow out with official shirts available at Shields. The WSU women are also back from Florida. Memphis visits Koch arena for a 6pm game on Tuesday. It's Aviation Night, celebrating Wichita's aviation history. Wichita State Bowling opened its spring schedule by finishing third in the Northeast Classic in Delaware over the weekend. The Shockers went 62 against ranked opponents, highlighted by a win over number three Arkansas State in the third place match. WSU is ranked number six nationally and they traveled to Arlington, Texas for the Prairie View A and M Invitational that starts Friday. Shocker track and field travels to Lincoln to compete in the Prairie Wolf Invitational on Friday and the Mark Culligan Memorial on Saturday. Shocker's first home meet is coming up. That's January 28th through the 31st. It's the coach Herm Wilson Invitational at the Heskett Center. WSU women's tennis plays Oklahoma State to open the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Friday in Lubbock. Texas Tech and Long Beach State are on the other side of the bracket. WSU's next home match is February 6th. That's versus Nebraska at Wichita Country Club. Shocker men's tennis is at Omaha on Saturday. Its next home match is February 8th versus Texas San Antonio. That's at Genesis Rock Road. WSU's first pitch banquet is set for January 30th at Koch Arena. Doors open at 6pm the evening includes a Meet the Team session, dinner and a season preview from baseball coach Brian Greene. The 2026 Pizza Hut Shocker Sports hall of Fame class includes track and fields Tanya Friesen and Lou Merriman, Billy hall and Damon Sublette of baseball and women's bowling Jasriel Tan. That group will be honored at dinner on February 13th and at halftime of the men's basketball game versus Tulsa on February 14th. Tickets for both the dinner and the game are [email protected] your trivia answer is B Sean O' Gear the Shockers cruised past the Pirates 86 66, with O' Geary making 6 of 103 pointers on his way to 23 points. He also handed out 5 assists and recorded 3 steals. Paul Miller added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Ryan Martin came off the bench for 10 points and 6 rebounds this week in Shocker history. January 21, 2012 the Shockers forced 22 turnovers and hold Southern Illinois to 17 baskets in an 8542 win. Joe Raglands scores 11 points and hands out 5 assists for the Shockers, who hand the Salukis their worst defeat in 98 seasons of basketball. Thank you for listening.
