WSU baseball concludes its home schedule this week vs. ORU (Tuesday) and Memphis (starting Thursday). WSU’s track and field team goes to Charlotte, N.C. for the AAC Championship starting Thursday. [00:00:14] Hello, welcome to the Roundhouse Rundown, your weekly glance at all things Shocker Athletics. Each week we give you a rapid fire listen on events, promotions, ticket deals, trivia question and we throw in a bit of Shocker history at the end. This week's trivia question who owns the most outdoor conference track and field titles for the Wichita State women's team? A sprinter Audacia Moore, B multi athlete Melanie Welty or C distance runner Desiree Osmore? Stick around to the end for the answer. Shocker Baseball wraps up his home schedule this week. Oral Roberts is at X Stadium at 6pm Tuesday. It's two for one Tuesday with general admission tickets and $2 concessions, weather permitting. Fireworks after the game. Memphis comes to town for a series Starting Thursday at 6pm General admission tickets are $7 for all three games as part of Fan Appreciation Weekend on Thursday, $1 hot dogs and Wichita State will give away prizes each inning. On Friday, the first 300 fans can receive a Shocker Baseball oven mitt. [00:01:15] Sunday is the WSU Alumni Outfield Tailgate. [00:01:24] WSU track and field is at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship beginning Thursday in Charlotte, North Carolina. Some shockers to watch for the men, Jared Kidaney leads the Isaac in the 800. He is third in the 1500 meters. [00:01:39] Josh Parish ranks first in the 110 hurdles. He's also first in the long jump. His twin brother, Jason, is third in the 403. Shockers lead the decathlon standings. Rickard Trogan, Hayden, Hudson Bailey and Luke Czarnecki. On the women's side, Destiny Masters ranks second in the heptathlon and second in the high jump. Arantia Cortez is second in the pole vault. Farrah Miller ranks second in the 800. While we're nearing the end of WSU competition for the school year, I'll remind you about three events this summer happening on campus. Athletes Unlimited Softball League plays games at Wilkins Stadium between June 7 and June 23. It's the second year for that professional circuit to come to Wichita was a big hit last summer. The basketball tournament returns to Koch Arena July 18th through the 23rd for the eight team Wichita Regional. The NBC World Series will hold its 91st tournament at X Stadium from July 24th to August 1st. [00:02:36] Baseball round the clock begins June 26th. That's 11 games in 33 hours. The NBC championship game is at Equity bank Park on Aug. 2. [00:02:48] Here's your trivia A sprinter Audacia Moore won seven Missouri Valley Conference outdoor titles in the 100, the 200 and as part of the 400 relay during her time as a shocker from 2009 to 2011. This Week in Shocker history, let's stick with Track and field. [00:03:04] May 15, 2004 Wichita State sweeps the MVC outdoor track and field titles in Normal, Illinois. The men win their third straight title with Shannon Armstrong earning meet MVP and Outstanding Track Athlete honors. He wins the 110 meter hurdles, the 100 and 200 sprints. Yvette Gruente wins the women's Outstanding Field Athlete honor after finished second in the heptathlon and winning the high jump. Decathlon champion Paul Speer earns men's Outstanding Field Athlete.
