Each week we give you a rapid fire listen on events, promotions, ticket deals, traffic, trivia question and a little bit of Shocker history. This week's Trivia Question In 2017, the Missouri Valley Conference named a 25 year anniversary volleyball team with 10 athletes selected. Who was the Wichita State player voted to the team? This week you can watch Shocker Volleyball in its black and yellow scrimmage. That's 3pm Saturday at Koch Arena. Admission is free. Doors open at 2pm The Shockers are picked third in the American Conference coming off last season's NCAA bid after they won the American Conference tournament. Shockers open the season on August 29th in Koch arena in the Shocker Volleyball Classic. They will play Kennesaw State 7pm on Aug. 29. Then they play Arkansas 1pm on Aug. 31. On Sept. 20, Wichita State basketball coach Paul Mills is hosting Queens of the Court Ladies Day with Shocker Men's Basketball. [00:01:49] Shocker Cross country opens a season in Hutchinson at the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic on August 29th. The JK Gold Classic is September 6th at Clapp Cross Country Course. Abby was a three time all MVC and AVC All American selection as well as the MVC's career hitting percentage leader this week in shocker history.
