Shocker softball is back at Wilkins Stadium on Tuesday against Central Arkansas and Wednesday vs. Oklahoma. The Shockers play USF in a series at home beginning Friday. WSU baseball is back home vs. UAB in a series beginning on Friday. You can also catch Shocker tennis at Coleman Tennis Complex this week. [00:00:13] Hello, welcome to the Roundhouse Rundown, a weekly glance at all things Shocker Athletics. Each week we give you a rapid fire listen on events coming up, promotions, ticket deals, trivia question and a bit of Shocker history. This week's Trivia question Joe Carter is the former Shocker with the most major league home runs. He hit 396 in his long career. Who is second on that list? Is it A Don Locke, B Casey Blake or C Connor Gillespie? As usual, I'm going to make you stick around to the end for the answer. We've got a lot of events coming up, so hang on for just a few minutes. You get the answer to that question. Shocker softball is back at Wilkins Stadium. Play 5pm Tuesday against Central Arkansas, 6pm Wednesday vs. Oklahoma 2 for 1 tickets are available for the Central Arkansas game starting Friday. USF visits Wilkins Stadium for a series. Game times are 6:00pm, 2:00pm and noon over the weekend. Saturday is Junior Shocker Kids Day Club. You can join the club on ghostshockers.com on Sunday. Kids can run the bases. No guarantee on Christie Breadbenner tossing hi Chews at third base. Shocker baseball is at Oklahoma State on Tuesday. They are back home this weekend. They play UAB in a series beginning on Friday. The Saturday game is autograph day and the first 250 fans get shocker baseball cards on Sunday. Children can run the bases. Game times for baseball this weekend at X Stadium, 6pm, 2pm and noon. WSU women's tennis has won four straight matches, including over number 66, Princeton and number 61, Tulane. They are up to number 47 in the national rankings. Shockers play UTSA on Sunday at 10am at Coleman Tennis Complex on April 4th. Shockers play host in North Texas at 10am and Creighton at 4pm WSU's men's tennis is number 75 in the ITA computer rankings, its first appearance in those rankings since 2022. Shockers are at home versus Texas Arlington, 1pm Wednesday at the Coleman Tennis Complex. Shocker track and field opens its outdoor season on Thursday. The squad will be split up, some of them going to Emporia State, some going to North Carolina State. Shocker volleyball continues its spring schedule with matches against Central Oklahoma and Tulsa in Edmond, Oklahoma on Friday evening. Shocker women's bowling they won the Conference USA title over the weekend to earn a spot in the NCAA tournament. The selection show is at 3pm Wednesday on NCAA.com here's your trivia answer. It's Casey Blake. Blake, a third baseman, played for the Shockers from 1993-96. He hit 167 homers during his major league career from 1999 to 2011, including a career best 28 in 2004 for Cleveland. This Week in Shocker History March 24, 2019 Wichita State holds Clemson to 15 baskets in a 63:55 win in the second round of the NIT at Little John Coliseum.
