Trivia Question and we wrap up with Shocker History. This week's Trust Trivia Question Wichita State leads the men's basketball series with Tulsa 78 to 66. What is the longest win streak in the series for the Shockers? Is it a 10 straight games, b 5 straight games or c 7? As always, stick around till the end of the podcast. The Hurricane are 6 and 2 in the American, tied with Charlotte and USF in first. Shockers are one of three teams close behind at 5 and 3.

[00:01:43] Tuesday. Third place Tulsa visits Kocarina for a 6pm tip that celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
[00:01:52] Shocker Track and Field wraps up the Coach Wilson Invitational at Heskett center on Saturday. Field Events begin at 10, running events at 1pm 2026 Pizza Hut. Shocker Sports hall of Fame class includes track and field's Tanya Friesen and Lou Merriman, baseball's Billy hall and Damon Sublette and Jasriel Tan of women's bowling. That group will be honored at a dinner on February 13th and halftime in the men's basketball game versus Tulsa on February 14th.

[email protected] tickets we're starting to roll out the bio stories for those five inductees and I would ask you to pay particular attention to Lou Merriman's story, which will be out early next week. It's really an interesting path that Lou took to get to to Shocker athletics and almost to the Olympics. Your trivia answer C7 Tulsa dominated the series throughout the 90s and then the hiring of coach Mark Turgen at Wichita State began to change things. Shocker snapped a 13 game losing streak to Tulsa in 2003, which was then a non conference series that started that seven game win streak that stretched through the 2014-15 season.
[00:03:08] Shockers won in 2003 and 2004 and the series took a break until 2010 when WSU played the first college basketball game at Interest bank arena and defeated Tulsa 8279 in front of 14,112 fans.
[00:03:24] Some notable performances during that stretch include Jamar Howard's 23 points in the 2003 game, Garrett Stutz scoring 20 in the Downtown victory and a 7754 win at Tulsa in 2013 with Ron Baker and Fred Van Vliet both scoring 21 points for the 14th ranked Shockers this week in Shocker history. January 31, 2014 Wichita State women's basketball team improves to 17 and 2 with a 7451 win over Southern Illinois. Jamila Bonner and Michelle Price both score 14 points for WSU team that is on its way to its second straight MVC title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
