[00:00:14] Hello, welcome to the Roundhouse Rundown, your weekly glance at Shocker Athletics. Each week we give you a rapid fire listen on events, promotions, ticket deals, a trivia question and we wrap it up with Shocker history.
[00:00:26] This week's trivia question what is the biggest comeback made by the Shockers in a men's basketball game? Is it a 19 points, b 24 points or c 25 points? Stick around to the end and we will give you the answer. Shocker women's basketball is home twice this week. Wichita State plays Southeast Missouri State at 6pm Tuesday and it's game show night at Koch arena on Saturday. Cat Cal State Bakersfield is in town to play at 2pm That's Friendsgiving. Season ticket holders can get one free ticket for the game at Koch Arena. WSU men's basketball is at Boise State at 8pm Tuesday. That game is on the Mountain West Network or you can listen to Mike Kennedy and Bob Hull on Keyn. The Shockers are home Kocarina vs. Milwaukee at 6pm Saturday and it's aviation Night.
[00:01:18] Shocker Volleyball they open American championship play at 12:30pm Friday versus North Texas. Tournament is in Tampa. WSU is the fifth seed.
[00:01:28] North Texas is the fourth seed. The winner plays either eighth seeded UTSA or top seeded Rice at 11am Saturday in a semifinal. You can watch all those matches on espn.
[00:01:41] Wichita State sophomore Ellie Capruto will run in the NCAA Cross Country Championship on Saturday in Columbia Missour.
[00:01:49] Capruto is the first Shocker to run as an individual in the NCAA meet since Mornay Annandale in 1992. Capruto qualified by finishing seventh in the NCAA Midwest Regional Meet. The 10 kilometer race starts at 10:10am and you can watch that on ESPNU.
[00:02:07] Your trivia answer B 24 points the Shockers defeated SMU 6662 in Dallas on March 1, 2020. The Shockers finished the game on a 40 to 12 run after trailing 50 to 26 with 13:30 remaining. A lot of Shockers had big games that day, including Dexter Dennis, who scored A career high 25 points this week in Shocker history. November 18, 2014 Number 11 Wichita State routes Memphis 7156 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Ron Baker scores 21 points and hands out six assists. Quite a defensive game for the Shockers. They held the Tigers to 20 baskets and and forced 24 turnovers.
