Get set for the week with the Roundhouse Rundown podcast, the fastest five minutes in collegiate promotions. WSU volleyball is on the road this week with three matches in the Golden Eagle Invitational at Tennessee Tech. Their next home match is Sept. 16 vs. Kansas (6 p.m.). Shocker baseball and softball are early in their fall workouts and both have scrimmages scheduled. [00:00:14] Hello, welcome to the Roundhouse Rundown, your weekly glance at all things Shocker athletics. Each week we give you a rapid fire listen on events, promotions, ticket deals, Trivia question and we wrap it up with Shocker history. This week's Trivia question what is volleyball coach Chris Lamb's record in his 27 matches against schools currently in the Southeastern conference? Is it a 27 0, B 1413 or C 17 10? Stick around to the end for the answer. Shocker volleyball is on the road this week with matches against Radford at 11am and Tennessee Tech at 6pm on Thursday. On Friday, they play Samford at 11am and that's in the Golden Eagle Invitational at Tennessee Tech. Thursday's 6pm match versus Tennessee Tech is on ESPN. [00:01:02] Shocker's next home match is September 16th versus the University of Kansas. WSU students receive free pizza and fans are encouraged to wear yellow. On September 20, Wichita State basketball coach Paul Mills is hosting Queens of the Court Ladies Day with Shocker Men's basketball. That's a behind the scenes look at the program with all sorts of basketball talk and activities. You can [email protected] Shocker baseball is gearing up for its fall schedule. Fans can watch the team scrimmage at 5pm on September 19th. WSU will play Nebraska at noon on September 27th at X Stadium. The Shockers travel to Dallas Baptist for another scrimmage game that's on October 18th. The fall schedule for Shockers softball starts a little bit later than usual. WSU will play McLennan Community College on Oct. 4 and Emporia State at 3pm on Oct. 5. Highlight of the fall schedule will be when Oklahoma State visits Wilkins Stadium on October 16th. [00:02:04] Your trivia answer Chris Lamb is 17 and 10 in matches versus schools currently in the SEC. [00:02:12] Worthy of noting Shockers are 71 versus Oklahoma under Lamb 32 versus Arkansas after a win earlier this season. They are 2 and oh against Auburn and the Shockers own single wins over South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia and Mississippi. Wichita State is 03 against Texas 01 versus Texas A and M and Missouri. And we'll keep this theme going for this week in shocker history. On September 11, 2015, the Shockers defeat number 21 Kentucky 32 at Koch arena with Katie Riley scoring a career high 19 kills. Katie Riley, of course, is now Katie Zimmerman and and is an assistant coach with Shocker volleyball. Shocker's trailed nine to four in the fifth set before aces by Emily Hebert, who is also currently employed by the athletic department and won by Jody Larson helped rally them to a 15 to 12 win in that fifth set.
