This week's trivia question who was the first Shocker volleyball player inducted into the Pizza Hut Shocker Sports hall of Fame?
A Sarah Lundgren, b Sarah Yunus or C Emily Stockman? As always, we make you listen to the end for the answer. Shocker Volleyball plays number 22 Kansas at 6pm Tuesday. That's a yellow out with T shirts available for the first 300 fans. The Jayhawks swept the Shockers last week in Lawrence.
Shockers travel to Northern Iowa for matches on Friday at 6 and Saturday at 1. Both of those are available on ESPN.
Shocker Madness is at 6:30pm October 3rd. That's free admission and basketball scrimmages and more. More information to come.
WSU baseball will hold public scrimmages on Saturday and Sunday. Those will start around 2:30 at X Stadium.
On September 26, Nebraska visits X Stadium for a scrimmage.
The Shocker Golf classic is on October 6th at Crestview Country Club for the baseball team. Your trivia answer is B Sarah Yunus. She was inducted in 2011 to the Pizza Hut Shocker Sports hall of Fame. Eunice played for WSU from 2001 to 04. She led the Shockers in kills in 2001 and 2003 and service aces all four seasons. She earned NCAA All Region honors in 2004. She was the first team All Missouri Valley Conference selection in 2002, 2003 and 2004. The 2004 Shockers won the program's first Missouri Valley Conference regular season and conference titles and played in Wichita State's first NCAA tournament this week in Shocker history.
September 15, 2017 Wichita State knocks off number eight Creighton 3 to 1 at Koch arena, where, with Tabitha Brown contributing 17 kills, Emily Hebert hands out 42 assists and records 10 digs. Mikayla Roudsep adds 11 kills.
