[00:00:14] Hello. Welcome to the Roundhouse Rundown, your weekly glance at all things Shocker Athletics. Each week we give you a quick listen on events, promotions and ticket deals. Trivia question and a bit of Shocker history This week's Trivia question who made the most pitching appearances in NCAA competition for WSU baseball? Is it A Jim Newlin, b Jamie Bluma or C Darren Dryford? Stick around to the end for the answer. Wichita State baseball is at home this weekend to play Rice. Series starts at 6:05pm Friday and continues at 2:05pm Saturday and 12:05pm Sunday. On Tuesday, Shockers travel to Oklahoma State for a 6pm game. [00:00:55] Friday's game versus Rice is draft day, with the first 700 fans receiving a Shocker football jersey courtesy of Dynamo Capital. Saturday's game features post game autographs from the position players. [00:01:07] Sunday is Shields junior Shocker Club Day, Youth Team Day and you can run the bases post game. For more information, see the goshockers.com baseball promotions page. [00:01:19] Shocker Softball wraps up its home schedule versus Memphis in a series starting April 30th. This week the Shockers are on the road. They play at Kansas City 4pm Wednesday. [00:01:30] Then they begin a crucial American Conference series at North Texas on Friday. WSU is tied with South Florida in first place in the American North Texas is one game behind. Shockers have won eight straight games entering the week. [00:01:45] WSU's women's tennis team is in good shape to make the NCAA Tournament as an at large selection. They finished second in the American Conference Championships. The NCAA selection Show is at 3:30 Monday on NCAA.com here's your trivia answer. A. Jim Newlin Newland made 15 appearances in NCAA play from 1987-89 as a reliever. He earned three saves in 1989 to help the Shockers win the national title. [00:02:13] Puma and Dryford are close behind. Each of them made 11 appearances at NCAA play this week in Shocker history. April 22, 1998 Number 9, Wichita State sweeps Southwest Missouri State 125 and 9 7. Jeff Ryan hits his 20th homer in the first game.
