[00:00:14] Hello, welcome to the Roundhouse Rundown, your weekly glance at all things Shocker Athletics. Each week we give you a rapid fire listen on events, promotions, ticket deals going on around Wichita State. There's a trivia question and we wrap it up with Shocker history. [00:00:26] This week's trivia question who is the most recent Shocker volleyball player to record 30 or more kills in a match? Your choices A Mikayla Roudsep B. Emily Stockman c. Emily Adne Stick around to the end and we will give you the answer. Shocker Volleyball plays University of Kansas at 6pm Tuesday at Koch arena that matches on ESPN. [00:00:48] WSU students receive free pizza and fans are encouraged to wear yellow. The Shockers are six and two. They've won four in a row, including three straight by three finals in a tournament in Tennessee last weekend. Wichita State volleyball travels to South Dakota later this week for matches against drake. That's at 4pm Thursday, South Dakota at 7pm Friday and Villanova at 11am Saturday. [00:01:13] On Thursday, you can watch the Wichita State men's basketball team practice. Practice begins at 4pm at Koch arena and it's open to the public. On Saturday, Wichita State basketball coach Paul Mills is hosting Queens of the Court Ladies Day with Shocker men's basketball. It's a behind the scenes look at the you can [email protected] People who participate will receive a free ticket to the game against DePaul that includes breakfast. There's a panel discussion with Paul Mills and some of the wives of the coaches. And then there will be some station work where you will get to experience what goes into a scouting report. [00:01:48] You'll get a chance to work on your jump shot with some of the computer technology that Wichita State uses. And you'll get a session in the weight room where Ashton Meerpool talks about the technology and the data that they use. [00:02:00] Shocker baseball is gearing up for its fall schedule. Fans can watch the team scrimmage at 5pm on Friday, Shockers play Nebraska at noon on September 27th at X Stadium. Shockers travel to Dallas Baptist for a scrimmage on October 18th. [00:02:15] Fall schedule for Shockers softball begins on October 4th, where WSU will play McLennan Community College at 1pm Next day, October 5th, they play Emporia State at 3pm Oklahoma State visits Wilkins Stadium on October 16th. [00:02:31] Your trivia answer is B. Emily Stockman. She totaled a career high 30 kills and a 3. 2 win over Missouri State in the 2009 MVC tournament. The WSU record is 3333 kills in a match from Jan Malloy in 1999 versus San Francisco this week in shocker history. [00:02:51] September 17, 2005 Wichita State wins a 17th straight match at home to set a school record with a sweep of Indiana State. Corey Meyer records eight kills, 13 digs for the Shockers. That streak would stretch into 2006, land at 31 straight home wins, and it remains the program's longest home win streak. Thank you very much for listening.
